NOWATA, OKLAHOMA - The Cherokee Nation Nowata Primary Health Clinic will be moving into a new building soon. Construction will soon begin on a new 25,000 square foot facility with completion scheduled for the summer of 2006."We've simply outgrown our current modular units," said Myron Taylor, Nowata Primary Health Clinic senior director. "Now it is time to expand our current 2,800 square feet into a space that will allow for an increase in the number of patients currently served."
This new free-standing building will still offer the same services as the current Nowata clinic but will also include a new radiology department, a drive-up pharmacy and behavioral health services.
"Services that we send our patients out to local health care providers for, will now be performed in house," said Taylor. "This will save the clinic and the patient significant time and expense."
The new clinic will be constructed at the existing site of the current Nowata Clinic, 202 Galer Road.
"Existing clinic services will continue to be provided, uninterrupted, while the new clinic is being constructed," said Taylor.
