NOWATA, OKLAHOMA - The Cherokee Nation will host the Nowata County Farm Show beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 at the Nowata County Fairgrounds in Nowata.The farm show will feature workshops on expecting the unexpected, liability issues for landowners, herbicide safety, grazing management on small acreages, and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) agency programs.
"You can learn about the USDA program that can best help you with your farm project," said Steve Swogger, agriculture liaison with the Cherokee Nation.
The show will also offer information on services available to farmers from the Cherokee Nation agriculture office and exhibits featuring the latest in agriculture products.
The public is invited to attend and a free meal will be provided at 5 p.m. If you plan to attend the meal, please make reservations by April 15 by calling 918-273-3074 (ext.100) or 918-273-3345.
