CATOOSA, OKLAHOMA – Award-winning McGill’s Restaurant has opened a fourth location, inside the Cherokee Casino Resort in Catoosa.

“We are extremely excited to have a McGill’s restaurant available to our Casino Resort customers,” said David Stewart, CEO of Cherokee Nation Enterprises, which operates Cherokee Casino and Resort. “I personally have been a long- time fan of McGill’s food and outstanding customer service. I know this partnership will exceed all expectations.”

McGill’s Restaurant at Cherokee Casino Resort employs 15 people and replicates the renowned menu of steak, seafood and pasta specialties, a full menu of appetizers, as well as McGill’s famous selection of wine, all in a relaxed, elegant atmosphere.

“Our goal was to introduce a restaurant with the elegance of fine dining that was slightly relaxed,” said Greg McGill, co-owner of McGill’s. “I think we’ve accomplished that.”

The partnership between Cherokee Casino Resort and McGill’s ensures that diners will continue to experience the taste of award-winning McGill’s menu in an environment only Cherokee Casino Resort can provide.

“McGill’s provides day-to-day management and a chef, while CNE employs all other restaurant workers,” said Peter Economou, CNE food and beverage director.

McGill’s has been serving the Tulsa area since 1991. The original restaurant is located at 21st and Utica.

Over the past 15 years, McGill’s has won numerous awards for food and service, including Best Place to have a Business Lunch for 2004 by Tulsa People and Urban Tulsa magazines, and Best Place for an Anniversary Dinner and Tulsa’s Hottest Chef for 2004.

Hours of operation for the McGill’s location at the Cherokee Casino Resort will be 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 p.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

CNE provides revenue to the Cherokee Nation in the form of a dividend. That money is used to help fund tribal health, education, community services and housing programs.

CNE operates casinos in Catoosa, West Siloam Springs, Roland, Fort Gibson, and Tahlequah as well as Cherokee Outpost convenience stores, Cherokee retail tobacco shops, two gift shops and two golf courses. CNE employs more than 1,950 people throughout northeastern Oklahoma.
