TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA - The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will present the Cherokee Nation with a check for $1.2 million on Monday, October 25, at 1:30 p.m. in the tribal council chambers.

The Cherokee Nation will use the money to loan to entrepreneurs who are seeking to establish or expand a small business. Cherokee Nation and USDA officials will be available for interviews following the check presentation.
