SALLISAW, OKLAHOMA – Sequoyah County job seekers and businesses seeking qualified workers now have a new, one-stop employment center in Sallisaw to meet their needs. The Cherokee Nation, Workforce Oklahoma, Quality Education Services for Today and Tomorrow (QuESTT), and the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC) have teamed up to offer employment services in Sallisaw.Through this joint venture, these employment partners have opened new offices located at 1502 and 1504 West Chickasaw. This one-stop center is designed to provide the workforce assistance that businesses need, help for individuals looking for employment and training to become more employable. The public is invited to attend an open house on Friday, May 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and representatives will be on hand to answer questions.
This partnership also provides a strong link to a network of statewide offices where employment, education and training providers are combining services to assist individuals and businesses. Services are geared toward finding jobs, qualified workers, making career decisions and accessing training opportunities.
