TAHLEQUAH, OK - The Sequoyah High School (SHS) chapter of the National Honor Society recently held an induction ceremony and banquet for 32 students that met the qualifications for membership.Inductees are Maresa Beason, Lucas Belt, Jessica Cornell, Todd Crow, April Dickson, Ryan Doyeto, Julie Hensley, Kasper Holmes, Emagen Hunt, Nancy James, Deena Nez, Matt Pallie, Evian Parks, Derrick Ross, Shawna Singleterry, Whitney Thompson, Johnnie Sue Wesley, Tuesdae Young, Rachelle Dellinger, Maricella Guevara, Sonny Hawk, Stacy Kinnamon, Randi Sequichie, Chris Smith, Brian Buckhorn, Walter Buffalomeat, Teshell Foster, Kaleb Harris, Angela Hummingbird, Steve Kammerzell, Kim King, and Darcy Medicine Horse.
"[Sequoyah High School] faculty selects the members based on scholarship, service, leadership, and character,” said Kim Livingston, National Honor Society adviser at SHS. "Once the National Honor Society members are selected, they are expected to continue their exemplary contributions to their school and community."
