CATOOSA, OKLAHOMA - Cherokee Nation Enterprises will be hiring for two hundred positions at a job fair in Catoosa this Thursday and Friday.

“We decided to renovate the existing casino in sections, rather than shut down the entire facility for the retrofit,” said David Stewart, CEO of Cherokee Nation Enterprises (CNE). “This, coupled with the decision to add machines in additional floor space, created an opportunity for more jobs at the Cherokee Casino Resort in Catoosa.”

The job fair will be held at the Cherokee Casino Employment Center located at 18 S. 193rd East Ave., directly south of the 193rd East and Admiral intersection in Catoosa. The job fair runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.

All of the jobs are directly related to the Cherokee Casino Resort at I-44 and 193rd E. Avenue. The Cherokee Casino Resort will feature a newly redesigned Cherokee Hills Golf Club, a new 150-room hotel and resort and an expansion to the existing casino.

The jobs include cooks, food runners, wait staff, dishwashers, deep cleaners, armed and unarmed security, custodial positions, and casino and retail cashiers.

CNE personnel will be accepting job applications and putting applicants through a selection process during the job fair. The process consists of some testing, including a pre-employment drug test. Hiring managers will conduct on-the-spot interviews.

Applicants should bring two forms of identification to the job fair. CNE is a drug-free environment and does random drug testing. CNE offers employees a total compensation package including health insurance, 401k, competitive salary and education assistance. For more information, please contact Vivian Phillips, phone: 918-384-7893.

CNE operates casinos in Catoosa, West Siloam Springs, Roland, Fort Gibson, as well as Cherokee Outpost Convenience stores, Cherokee retail tobacco shops, a gift shop and two golf courses. CNE employs more than 1350 people throughout northeastern Oklahoma.

Cherokee Nation Enterprises is a tribally owned corporation of the Cherokee Nation. CNE provides revenue to the Cherokee Nation in the form of a dividend. That money is used to help fund tribal health, education and housing programs.
