TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA - The Cherokee Nation recently held the annual Little Miss and Mister Cherokee contest as part of the 51st Cherokee National Holiday.

"All the children were wonderful and they were full of smiles", said Regina Christie-Bell, master of ceremonies. "It was so much fun."

The winner of Little Miss Cherokee in the 4 and 5-year-old division is Cierra Lynn Fields, 4, of Tahlequah. First runner up is Treanna Washington, 4, of Tahlequah and the second runner up is Natalie Bobbit, 5, of Vian. The winner of Little Mister Cherokee for the 4 and 5-year-old division is Brandon O’Field, 4, of Tahlequah. The first runner up is Taylor Armbrister, 4, of Kansas and the second runner up is Cameron Kingfisher, 5, of Moody. The winner of Little Miss Cherokee in the 6 and 7-year-old division is Chelsi Pruitt, 7, of Tahlequah. The first runner up is Morgan Tarrance, 6, of Welling and the second runner up is Callie Thompson, 6, of Hulbert. The winner of Little Mister Cherokee for the 6 and 7-year-old division is Wrighter Weavel, 7, of Tahlequah. The first runner up is Nickalas Kingfisher, 7, of Tahlequah and the second runner up is Parker Weavel, 6, of Tahlequah.
