Tahlequah, Oklahoma - The 32nd Trail of Tears art show and sale will be held May 3 through June 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Cherokee Heritage Center. This art show is one of the largest in the United States featuring more than 175 artists.Artists will compete for more than $11,000 in the following nine categories: Painting, Graphics, Sculpture, Miniatures, Pottery, Basketry, Beadwork, Textiles, and Jewelry. Winners will be announced at the Trail of Tears Award Luncheon on May 3 at 12 p.m.
All works featured in this prestigious show are for sale to the public and can be purchased at the Cherokee Heritage Center. The Cherokee Heritage Center is located 3 miles south of Tahlequah, just off of Highway 62 on Willis Road.
This event was sponsored by The Oklahoma Arts Council and by Bank of Oklahoma.
