PRYOR, OKLAHOMA - An individual arrested recently in the Microtel Inn and Suites by Cherokee Nation Marshals gave a false name and identification.Andrew Mabe, 22, of Owasso, originally told the officers that he was Tylor Barger, 18, of Claremore. Barger’s mother, Dawna Barger, informed the officers that they were misinformed after reading the story in the newspaper.
"I knew it wasn’t Tylor", said Dawna Barger. "I had seen him since the arrest time that the paper had given."
"We were very surprised when we found out the truth", said Brett Mull, Cherokee Nation Marshal.
"Andrew was a boyfriend to the mother of a girl that Tylor has dated", Dawna Barger said. "We think that is how he got all of Tylor’s information."
Mabe is being charged with possession of a precursor without a permit, false personation, displaying an I.D. with the purpose of misleading a peace officer and displaying an I.D. with the purpose of avoiding prosecution, in addition to the 3 drug charges that were originally charged to Tylor’s name.
"I just want to make sure that Tylor’s name is cleared", Barger said. "But, Brett is doing a great job and is taking care of every thing."
