SALLISAW, OKLAHOMA - The Cherokee Nation will host the Sequoyah County Farm Show from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on March 25 at the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds in Sallisaw.John Hendrix with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife will be speaking on wildlife habitat considerations for your farm.
"We will also learn about United States Department of Agriculture programs and the new farm bill", said Steve Swogger, agriculture liaison with the Cherokee Nation.
The show will offer information on services available to farmers from the Cherokee Nation Agriculture office, Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Rural Development, Sequoyah County Conservation District, Oklahoma Department of Forestry, the University of Arkansas Agriculture Department, and the Oklahoma State University Extension Service. Many other exhibitors will also distribute information.
The public in invited to attend and the Cherokee Nation will provide a meal at 6:00 p.m.
