TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA - The Cherokee Nation will be sponsoring National Disability Awareness Day March 11th at the Cherokee Nation Tribal Complex in Tahlequah. The all-day event will provide information and resources for people living with disabilities.There will be speakers and displays on such subjects as prosthetics, service dogs, and technological advances in medical equipment.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and information will be available until 3:45 p.m.
"The public is invited to see what opportunities are there to help improve the quality of life for people living with disabilities", said James Ballard, manager of Cherokee Nation Voc-Rehab.
