TAHLEQUAH, OK - Sequoyah High School will host their annual Senior Information Night on Thursday, January 30. All SHS seniors and their parents are invited to attend. Dinner will be served at 5:00, followed by a college and career information presentation at 5:30.“Scholarship information, college representatives, armed service representatives, Vo-Tech, and others will be at SHS to help seniors and parents with future plans,” said Tony Pivec, SHS superintendent.
All parents of SHS students are invited to attend the dinner Thursday night and parent teacher conferences that will be held Thursday, January 30 from 3:30 to 6:30. If you are unable to attend Thursday night, teachers will be available again Friday morning.

Sequoyah High School, an Indian boarding school, originated in 1871, when the Cherokee National Council passed an act setting up an orphan asylum to take care of many orphans that came out of the Civil War. Sequoyah High School's approximate 300 enrollment represents 42 tribes and 14 different states. Students are eligible to attend if they are members of federally recognized Indian tribes or one-fourth blood descendants of such members. |
