With over 300 people attending, it was seen as a resounding success by many of the participants. Those attending where given the opportunity to network and gather information on employment, career advancement, and vocational training. More than 25 booths were set up by various local businesses and skill related education centers such as Mrs. Smiths, Cherokee Nation Industries, Griffin Foods, and Indian Capitol Vo-Tech.
Local businesses donated door prizes and a local women’s civic group provided entertainment and refreshments.
Cherokee Nation Tribal Council member Jackie Bob Martin said, It's a good way of networking local industry with people who need employment or would like to advance their skills. I was glad to see Cherokee Nation play a major role in doing that.'
