Choir members and Dorothy Sullivan, artist who provided the artwork for the cover of the CD, will be available to sign autographs and take pictures from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at the Cherokee Nation Gift Shop in Tahlequah.
"It’s just a celebration for the kids," said Jeff Parker, event coordinator. "We really want it to be special for them."
This is the first time that the choir has held a signing party in conjunction with the release of a new CD. The Cherokee National Youth Choir recently earned their second Native American Music Award (NAMMY) for their previous CD, "Building One Fire." The group’s first CD, "Voices of the Creator’s Children", earned a NAMMY in 2002.
