Tahlequah, Oklahoma - Quilt Patterns will be the topic of the Cherokee Heritage Center's Fall Lecture Series on Sunday, October 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cherokee Heritage Center Atrium. The guest lecturer will be Peggy Kaney.
Peggy Kaney has been a seamstress for 25 years. She has worked in theater as a costumer and was a costume shop foreman in Arizona. She is currently employed as the children's librarian at the Tahlequah Public Library where she also coordinates the children's programs.
In her lecture, Mrs. Kaney will show various quilt patterns and discuss how they were named. The other lectures in the Fall Lecture Series include Water Gardens with Toni Bailey on October 27 and Cherokee Style Cooking with Wanda Harless on November 17.
