TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA - The Cherokee Nation will soon begin educating various community groups on the skill of grant-writing."We are going to help them as much as we can to find additional grant funding for their community organizations," said Sharon Dry, manager of community work for the Cherokee Nation.
The Rocky Mountain Resident Organization, East Park Hill Resident Organization, and the Kenwood Resident Organization will attend the Cherokee Nation grant workshops as part of a program to help these organizations become more self-sufficient and stable.
Each organization can send several members through the workshop during the course of the next year. Funding for this grant-writing workshop was made possible through a Resident Opportunity Self Sufficiency (ROSS) Capacity Building grant administered by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
For more information on the ROSS grant, please contact Sharon Dry, phone: 918-456-0671 (ext.2483) or 800-256-0671 (ext. 2483).
