TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA - Sequoyah High School recently earned a top score for their outstanding sportsmanship conduct at athletic events."This is a significant confirmation of the positive changes that have occurred at Sequoyah High School over the last several years," said Tony Pivec, Sequoyah superintendent.
The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Athletic Association ranks the schools based on the conduct of the school administration, coach, team, and crowd based upon ten or more reports received from game officials on games worked in football, basketball, baseball, softball, and volleyball.
"It says a lot when the officials notice the behavior of the students at your school," Pivec said. "We are extremely proud of what the student athletes and coaches are trying to do both on and off the field."
