WEBBERS FALLS, OK - On June 28, the Cherokee Nation will host a Cherokee Comfort Ceremony and Memorial Service in honor of the 14 people who perished on the I-40 bridge over the Arkansas River on May 26. The service will begin at noon and feature the Cherokee National Children's Choir singing "Orphan Child", a song of mourning and loss that has endured since the Trail of Tears and which the Choir has performed at Ground Zero in New York City. Community members are invited to attend this solemn occasion.The service will begin at noon on June 28 at the Battle of Webbers Falls Park in Webbers Falls.
