New Salina A-Mo Clinic Director, Charles Smith

SALINA, OK - The Cherokee Nation A-Mo Community Clinic recently received a new Senior Clinical Director.

Charles Smith, joined the staff of the Salina A-Mo Clinic as the new Senior Clinical Director.

"I chose to come to the Cherokee Nation because it is a very good opportunity for me," said Smith. "They have a very progressive integrated health care system."

Smith has been working towards the expansion of the A-Mo Community Clinic, which should be completed by the end of the year. The expansion will include a new optometry office, exam rooms, dietician's office and behavioral health unit. The clinic will also begin to implement open access scheduling for their appointments, which will allow for a shorter wait time to see physicians.

Smith has a Masters of Healthcare Administration and a Masters of Social Work, both from the University of Oklahoma and resides in Muskogee.
