TAHLEQUAH. OK - The Cherokee Nation is seeking both arts and crafts and concession vendors for the 50th Cherokee National Holiday held in Tahlequah over Labor Day weekend, August 30 - September 1.This year is unique because it is the 50th Cherokee National Holiday. Many activities have been added and a record crowd is expected.
"Among other things, we’ve added a car show, a karate exhibition, as well as the fishing derby and other activities we’ve enjoyed over the years", said Lou Slagle, director of the Cherokee National Holiday. "There’s a real push to find enough concession vendors. We have activities at the Complex, the Courthouse, the Powwow grounds and the ball fields."
