TAHLEQUAH, OK - The Cherokee Nation will host a seminar entitled "Keeping Our Indian Children Safe", February 7 & 8 in the Cherokee Nation Ballroom in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.This program will focus on providing pertinent information and training necessary for the process of healing children of trauma and healing Native American families. Participants can anticipate learning the assumption, goals, and objectives of abuse specific therapy and the aspects of prevention in Native American communities. This workshop will be most applicable for individuals in the occupation of assisting, healing, or teaching Native American children and Families.
Guest speakers include Delores Subia BigFoot, Ph.D, Barbara L. Bonner, Ph.D, Diane J. Willis, Ph.D, and Lorena Burris, Ph.D.
