TAHLEQUAH, OK - The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation (HACN) Board of Commissioners passed several resolutions at their most recent monthly meeting.

Resolutions passed at the HACN Board Meeting include:

*Authorizing the HACN Executive Director to proceed with the development of an Elderly Housing Project in Stilwell, to be constructed with Low Income Housing Tax Credits.

*Authorizing the Executive Director to execute a 99 year lease of land identified for use in a Low Income Housing Tax Credit Elderly Housing Project in Stilwell to Stilwell Senior Housing Limited Partnership.

*Authorizing non-federal funds to be used for Rental Assistance for 39 elderly rental units in Stilwell, created through a Low Income Housing Tax Credit Award.

*Authorizing a one-time exception to the HACN Human Resources policy regarding forfeiture of annual leave allowing employees to carry over 300 annual leave hours for the year 2001.

Meetings of the Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation Board of Commissioners are open to the public. The next meeting will be at 5:30 p.m., on Tuesday, January 15, 2002, at the HACN Administration Conference Room, located at 1500 Hensley Drive, Tahlequah.
