Current volunteers and those who are interested in volunteering are invited to the Cherokee Heritage Center to learn more, according to Volunteer Coordinator Anne Woodward. "Our volunteers are vital to the success of our programs", Woodward said.
Woodward is an AmeriCorp volunteer, serving in Volunteers In Service to America. VISTAs have one-year terms, usually in socio-economic/geographical areas in which they are interested. One of Woodward's responsibilities at the Cherokee Heritage Center is to revitalize and increase the volunteer program.
