TAHLEQUAH, OK - The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation (HACN) took several official actions at its monthly Board of Commissioner’s meeting. At the January meeting, the board:

• Authorized revising the Rental Assistance Program’s Occupancy, Rent and Management Policy.
• Authorized amending the Human Resources policy manual establishing a policy on compensation for employees allowing the opportunity for a Merit Increase based upon the total rating received on the annual evaluation and basing the annual Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) upon the Consumer Price
• Index for the Dallas Region. Tabled revising the Rehabilitation Policy.

The Commissioners also elected Richard “Dick” McNair, Jr. as Board Secretary. The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation Board of Commissioners Meeting is open to the public. The next meeting will be at 5:30 p.m., on Tuesday, February 19, 2002, at the HACN Administration Conference Room, located at 1500 Hensley Drive, Tahlequah.
