TAHLEQUAH, OK - Holiday cheer will abound during "Christmas at Adams Corner" on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Cherokee Heritage Center. In addition to traditional Christmas music and thousands of twinkling lights, Father Christmas will make his annual appearance. Seasonal refreshments, hayrides, and a holiday puppet show will complement the lights-on ceremony."Adams Corner Rural Village is representative of many small Cherokee communities in Indian Territory in the late 1800s," said Marilyn Craig, marketing director for the Cherokee Heritage Center.
The First Indian Baptist Church of Tahlequah will perform music with special performances in the Cherokee language and John Fite will also perform holiday favorites, as everyone will be encouraged to sing along.
