Tahlequah, OK - Council members of the Pan American Indian Humanities Center (PAIHC) will engage the public in a dialogue discussing native relationships with the land. The discussion will be Friday, April 19 at 6 p.m. at the Restaurant of the Cherokees building in the O Si Yo Classroom. PAIHC Council members are native leaders seeking to educate and enrich their respective tribal communities.
Anyone interested in indigenous education, languages, as well as political and economic issues facing native communities should plan on attending. Mayan scholar Alejandra Garcia will be one of the panel participators. Several indigenous nations and languages will be represented at the community event.
