SALLISAW, OK - Cherokee youth Alicia Vann and Lyndon Smith received outstaning participants awards at the Cherokee Nation Supplemental Youth Employment Awards Assembly. The assembly was recently held in the Tribal Council Chambers to recognize outstanding employees during the summer session.Cherokee Nation’s supplemental youth employment program places students on jobs that allowed them to gain work experience. Full Circle Screen Printing in Roland employed Alicia Vann; a recent graduate from Muldrow High School and Lyndon Smith, a student at Vian High School was employed by Vian High Schools.
The students were chosen outstanding participants for their job skills, attitude on the job, good attendance and the ability to work well with co-workers.
