TAHLEQUAH, OK - The Cherokee Heritage Center will host its first family camp-out weekend on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28.This camp out is designed for all ages and has activities to accommodate both young and old. Cherokee storytellers, artists, demonstrators, and dancers will be on hand to share the experiences of their ancestors. Campers will learn to make blowguns, baskets, clay beads and ball sticks during this family weekend getaway.
Tents will be provided but campers are encouraged to bring their own bedding. Traditional art areas will be “make and take.”
The price is $150.00 per person and includes meals, lodging, art materials, games, and all events.
