TAHLEQUAH, OK - The Cherokee Nation will host a field representative from the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28 in room 138 of the Tsa La Gi Annex on Highway 62 South of Tahlequah.Gary Lester, Service Officer for the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs, will assist veterans and/or their family members in filing paper work and/or claims for benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
No appointment is necessary. Veterans or their family members are encouraged to bring their DD214 (discharge papers) with them. A copy of the DD214 can be ordered if one is not available. Cherokee Nation invites all veterans and their family members to stop by with any questions regarding veterans' benefits or claims.
