CHC to Stage Civil War Battle Re-Enactment

TAHLEQUAH, OK - The Cherokee Heritage Center and the 26th Texas Calvary invite you to attend an historical re-enactment of the Battle of Barren Fork Creek. This re-enactment will take place on December 1 and 2 at the Ceremonial Grounds south of the Cherokee Nation Tribal Complex. There will be both Union and Confederate forces present to provide a living history camp that will be open to visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2.
The battle will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $1 per person and children five years and younger are admitted free.
