Tahlequah, OK - The Cherokee Heritage Center will present the final lecture in its 2001 lecture series on Sunday, November 11 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cherokee Heritage Center Atrium. The topic will be The Trail of Tears: A Historical Overview presented by Jack Baker, President of the National Trail of Tears Association.
Mr. Baker will discuss the most trying and turbulent period of Cherokee history, along with personal accounts and route information. Guests of this lecture will also be able to view the stunning "Trail of Tears Exhibit" which was made possible in part by the National Parks Service.
