JAY, OKLAHOMA - Wayne Dunham, the Mayor of Jay, Oklahoma,participants in the "Read Aloud Project" sponsored by the Cherokee Nation's Early Childhood Unit.

Mr. Dunhan participated in the program on March 14, 2001, by reading a book about owls to the children enrolled in the Cherokee Nation Early Childhood Unit located at the Jay I & II Head Start Center.
The reading was a part of the "Read Aloud Project" which the teachers invite guests to come and read to the children. Wayne Dunham is not only an active participant in the program but also a grandparent to a student enrolled in the Head Start program.
