TAHLEQUAH, OK - The Cherokee National Holiday Parade Committee is seeking entries for it’s 49th annual parade, which is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 1, in downtown Tahlequah. The deadline for entries is August 27.Businesses as well as private and public organizations are invited to participate in the parade with floats, vehicles, bands and marching units. Vendors and parade entrants do not have to be Cherokee to participate. Entries should emphasize the 2001 Holiday Parade theme “Celebrating the Seven Clans.”
Judges will select the best floats, bands and organizations for first, second and third place cash prizes. Parade lineup is at Crafton and Grand Street. Check-in will be at 8:00 am St. Brigid’s Catholic Church.

The Cherokee National Holiday is accepting applications for food concessions and arts & crafts vendors for the upcoming 49th Cherokee National Holiday.
The 49th Cherokee National Holiday will be held August 31st through September 2nd in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
