Tahlequah, OK - The Cherokee Heritage Center will present a lecture entitled Spiro Mounds: Cultural Center of the Universe (Almost) on Sunday, August 26 at 1 p.m. in the Cherokee National Museum Atrium.
Dennis Peterson of the Oklahoma Historical Society will be the guest speaker. This lecture will discuss the complex society and art of the people that inhabited Spiro Mounds. A slide presentation and exquisite artifacts will be shown.
