WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, OK - Angela Williams never dreamedshe would leave the Cherokee Casino last Saturday night with $250,000, but Williams waltzed home a quarter of a million dollars wealthier when she pocketed the "Road to Riches Bingo" prize.
"The whole casino lit up when Angela won," said Donna Hogner, casino manager. "This is what makes gaming entertainment so much fun!"
Cherokee Casino patrons have a chance to compete nightly in a special coverall bingo game and then progress through a series of ten levels for a chance to win the big $1,000,000 "Road to Riches Bingo" prize. Williams, of Green Forest, Arkansas, made it all the way to level nine for her $250,000 prize.
The Cherokee Nation has three Class II casinos located in Catoosa, Roland and West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma. Each casino offers the latest new electronic games, electronic bingo and regular bingo sessions daily. The casinos are open 24 hours a day and feature special events, hourly Bonus Cash drawings, a casino Deli, and the Players Club.
Cherokee Casinos are operated by Cherokee Nation Enterprises, a Tribal corporation solely owned by the Cherokee Nation. Indian gaming is providing a means to self-sufficiency for Tribal Nations, and also creating jobs and economic activity in local non-Indian communities and states where tribal gaming operations are located.
