TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA - The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma's highest court, now has a full complement

of judges. The Cherokee Nation Tribal Council approved Principal Chief Chad Smith's appointment of Darrell Matlock to the Judicial Appeals Tribunal during the most recent council meeting.

"I am pleased to join the JAT", Matlock said. "I can promise impartiality and fairness."

Matlock is a trial lawyer with 30 years of civil and criminal experience and currently serves on the Cherokee Nation Employee Appeals Board. Justice Darrell Matlock joins Justice Darrell Dowty and Chief Justice Philip Viles on the tribunal.
