Cherokee Nation Offering Advanced Language ClassesTahlequah, OK - The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma is offering advanced Cherokee language classes starting Monday night, September 11, 2000 at the Cherokee Nation’s Cultural Resource Center, located in the old jail building at Water and Choctaw streets in downtown Tahlequah.
The classes are designed for people who have been through the Center’s introductory Cherokee class, or for people with some proficiency in the language. The classes are open to the public, as well as Cherokee Nation employees, and is offered free of charge. All materials are provided by the Cultural Resource Center. Cherokee Nation Providing Exhibit Space for Artists
Tahlequah, OK - Cherokee artists are invited to exhibit their work in the lobby of the Cherokee Nation gift shop and restaurant on Highway 62 south of Tahlequah. Interested artists should contact Linda Taylor at (918) 456-2793 for more information about exhibit space and schedules.
