TULSA, OK - The Cherokee Nation Early Childhood Unit will be sponsoring an Autism Workshop during the 7th Annual Early Childhood Conference from 9 a.m. to noon, November 21, 2000, at the Hilton Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on 7902 South Lewis.The Autism Workshop is open to administrators, special education personnel, teachers, parents, care givers or anyone who wants to learn more about the condition of autism.
Dr. Diane Mobley, one of Oklahoma’s foremost authorities on autism, will be the featured speaker at the workshop.
The workshop will last three hours. The first two and a half hours will be an overview of autism, including behavior intervention strategies in the classroom. The last half hour will be a questions and answer session from the participants. Each participant will receive a certificate for attending the workshop.
