TAHLEQUAH, OK - Tahlequah’s Veteran’s Day Parade is set for November 11, at 11 a.m. in downtown Tahlequah. Organizers are now soliciting community groups and organizations and individuals who wish to honor veterans by participating in the parade. Awards will be given to the best floats, drill teams, riding clubs, and car clubs. Applications for entry can be picked up in the Cherokee FIRST Welcome Center at the Cherokee Nation’s W.W. Keeler Tribal Complex, but participants may also arrive early on the parade site to register.

"Just show up at North Muskogee Avenue and Goingsnake Street early on the 11th, and be ready to go," said Veteran’s Day Parade Chairman Orvel Baldridge.

"The Cherokee Nation supports and honors veterans," said Chad Smith, Principal Chief. "Participation and attendance at this parade are ways to show our appreciation for the men and women who have served our country."
