Tahlequah, OK - The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma has extended the deadline for the Cherokee National Choir audition applications. All current 4th through 7th grade Cherokee students with vocal musical ability are encouraged to try out. The choir, conducted by Mrs. Janis Ballou, will be appearing at special events throughout the year. Interested students must have transportation and be willing to attend rehearsal sessions and scheduled concerts.Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 27 at 11:00 in Room 303 of the Fine Arts Building at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. Applications will be accepted at the audition for those who have been unable to submit their information. Applicants should bring their Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) card to the audition.
