LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - The Recording Academy has added two Grammy Award categories: best Native American music album in the folk field and best instrumental album in the pop field. The additions, which were decided on during the annual trustees meeting last month, expand the number of Grammy categories to 100. A special committee will be formed to screen all entries for the Native American album category, the academy said.
