"At CT YWCA Leadership Luncheon"

Wilma Mankiller, former Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, will be the guest speaker at the YWCA Family Center's inaugural "In the Company of Leaders" Luncheon.
The YWCA is located in Meriden, Connecticut, serving Middlesex and New Haven counties. The luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, May 6, 1999 at 12:30 p.m.
Ms. Mankiller, recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, was chosen to be the speaker for this luncheon because of her work and accomplishments which are closely related to the mission and purpose of the YWCA. (Photo © 2News NBC/KJRH-TV)

A private reception is planned prior to the luncheon where a small number of guests will be able to meet Ms. Mankiller, as well as receive an autographed copy of her autobiography, Mankiller "A Chief and Her People".
