In our previous lesson we used (tsu) as the question marker. Today we will use (sgo) as the question marker. I explained in the last lesson that (tsu) is the more common of the two question markers. I personally prefer to use (sgo) and it basically it is personal preference to which you will use. Some words actually sound or flow better with (tsu) and other sound better with (sgo). You will rarely ever hear (sgo) in its full form. More than likely you will just hear the (sg) sound. The following sentences have the first sentence in statement form and the following sentence has been changed to a question using the (sg) question marker. Be sure to use the conversational sentence. Statement Sentence Question Sentence You are hungry. Are you hungry? Tsa-yo-si-ha Tsa-yo-si-ha-sgo Tsa-yo-si-ha-sg Conversational You are sleepy. Are you sleepy?
